Welcome to Bridgehouse Cottage
With easy access from the A470, Bridge House Cottage is just a stones throw
from the River Wye and is a charming old traditional stone built cottage situated in a beautiful countryside location without the downsides of being too remote. It dates back to the early 1800’s, but has recently undergone a careful restoration, with the modern needs of 2008 carefully integrated.
Bridge House Cottage is located within one of the most beautiful areas of Britain, you would be pushed to find a more perfect place to start your exploration of this wonderful countryside. The cottage is centrally located for Builth Wells, Brecon and Hay-on-Wye, all within short country lane drives.
There are many local sporting activities in the area, eg: fishing, walking, canoeing, gliding, cycling and riding. There is also a good chance of seeing Buzzards and Red Kites from the cottage as they are regulars around this area. Other regulars are the wild rabbits which can be seen in the field (along with the sheep) from the bedroom windows. House Martins are nesting in the main house eaves at the moment (June) and they can be seen coming and going to their nest. It really is an incredible area for watching nature. |
